Open Handler Of The Year Awards
During the 2021 ABC National Championships, Mr. Raymond Trimble Jr. was presented with the Honorary Brittany Handler of the Year trophy in recognition of his dedication to the American Brittany since 1955. This presentation marked the introduction of the “Ray Trimble” Open Handler of the Year Awards.
The “Ray Trimble” Open Handler of the Year Awards are presented to the top handler in the Brittany Open All-Age hour stakes and the top handler in the Brittany Open Gun Dog (horseback) hour stakes. Award points are calculated beginning with the ABC National Championships and continue through the start of the same events the following year.
