How to Make Sure You Receive ABC Emails
ABC sends important membership notices, club announcements, and election ballots by email. Sometimes these messages land in your Spam or Junk folder.
Use the steps below to help ABC emails reach your inbox and find messages you may have missed.
1. Allow ABC emails
Add the ABC sending address to your email contacts. If your email service offers a Safe Senders list, add it there too.
ABC sending addresses:
info@theamericanbrittanyclub.org
secretary@theamericanbrittanyclub.org
If ballots come from an address other than those listed above, repeat these steps for that address too.
Gmail
Create this filter using Gmail in a web browser on a computer.
- Open Gmail. At the right end of the search bar, click Show search options (the sliders icon).
- Enter the ABC sending address in the From box.
- Click Create filter.
- Check Never send it to Spam, then click Create filter again.
To find missing emails: Open the menu, choose More → Spam, select the ABC message, and choose Not spam. On a phone, look for Spam in the Gmail app’s menu.
Outlook / Hotmail
These steps are for Outlook.com in a web browser and the new Outlook.
- Open Outlook and select Settings (the gear icon).
- Choose Mail → Junk email.
- Under Safe senders and domains, choose Add or Add safe sender.
- Enter the ABC sending address, confirm it, and select Save if shown.
To find missing emails: Open Junk Email, select the ABC message, and choose Not junk. It may appear under Report.
Yahoo Mail
- Open Contacts (the address book icon) in Yahoo Mail.
- Add a new contact named American Brittany Club.
- Enter the ABC sending address and save the contact.
To find missing emails: Open Spam, select the ABC message, and choose Not spam. On some phones, this is called This is not spam.
Apple Mail / iCloud
- Open your Contacts app. For iCloud Mail, use your iCloud contacts.
- Create a contact named American Brittany Club.
- Add the ABC sending address and save it.
To find missing emails: Open Junk (or Spam on iCloud.com), select the ABC message, and choose Not Junk or Move to Inbox. On an iPhone or iPad, tap the folder icon and choose Inbox.
If Apple Mail displays a Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook account, also follow that provider’s instructions above.
Use another email service? Add ABC to your contacts and look in Settings for Safe Senders or Allowed Senders. These steps help, but keep checking Spam or Junk for expected messages.
2. Find missing ABC emails
- Open your email app or email website.
- Find Spam, Junk, or Junk Email. You may need to open the menu or select More to see it.
- Look for American Brittany Club or the ABC sending address listed above.
- Select a legitimate ABC message and choose Not Spam or Not Junk.
- If the message does not move automatically, move it to your Inbox.
Still can’t find it? Search for American Brittany Club or the ABC sending address. Include Spam and Junk folders in your search, if your email service offers that option.
If your phone does not show a Spam or Junk folder, check your email provider’s website. Check regularly while waiting for your ballot; old spam messages may be deleted automatically.
3. Still need help?
Make sure the email address on your ABC membership record is correct. If you still aren’t receiving ABC emails, contact us and include your name and membership email address.
