1992 IAMS All-Age Brittany of the Year Award
Jake's Son of a Gun Runner
This year's winner of the Iams All-Age Award was Jake's Son of a Gun Runner.
Handled by Jake and scouted by JoJo Schroder, this 7 year old male Brittany won 3 championships and was runner-up in 3 more.
Out of NAFC Gun Runners Far Out x Bandit's Kay of Croixdale, he has had impressive wins in the National Amateur Championship, the U.S. Open Championship, the Quail Classic, and the Region 7 Amateur Championship, just to name some.
This past year was a busy one for Jake and JoJo as well as their dogs.
Horses, dogs, camper and approximately 126 changes of clothes (for JoJo alone) wound their way across the United States going from trial to trial.
Hard work, patience, persistence and more hard work were rewarded, as three of their dogs are counted in the top 5 of this prestigious Iams Awards.
Roy Pelton was again on hand to present the Iams Award to Sonny and the Schroders.
Roy and the Iams Company have remained strong supporters of the Brittany All-Age ideals and have pledged time and financial support to that end.
The club house at the Blue Mountain grounds near Booneville, Arkansas, again served us well for the Iams Award ceremony.
Preceded by a Happy Hour, the ceremony was attended by more than 100 people, all anxious to congratulate the Schroders and to see what outfit JoJo would wear.
She disappointed no one with a solid gold one. All in attendance had a good time -- all ready for the next year.
